Rhetorical Situations

I will be creating a company that sells insurance for my rhetorical situation.

Job Positions

1.      Adjuster

a.      This job position works with clients that make claims when they’ve lost something.  The person working at this job also decides how much payment the recipient should receive based on their damages/loss.

2.      Sales Agent

a.      Like a sales associate in retail, except this person goes outside of the company to communicate with potential buyers

3.      Underwriter

a.      A person working in this position decides if someone that’s seeking their particular insurance is acceptable or not.  Also might set prices for insurance policies

4.      Customer Service Rep

a.      Helps customers with any questions they may have.

Possible Rhetorical Situations

1.      An underwriter needs to reject a potential client from being a part of their insurance plan.  The underwriter may do this themselves, or notify another position about the rejection.  I imagine that there’s a mail merge that notifies people about their rejection, with the name switched to every individual person.

2.      A customer is unsatisfied with the amount of money they are getting from the insurance.

a.      The insurance team possibly holds a meeting to see if the refund that they’re giving is good.

b.      Possibly a phone call or email regarding if the price will be changed or not from the adjuster

3.      1 year customers getting a special bonus for their loyalty

a.      A group meeting happening that decides what’s a good bonus

b.      Emailing or sending mail to all of these customers

                                                    i.     Email would probably be from the company email
